Who Cares Mission offers evangelism training day
Who Cares Mission will be organising a training event in March for anyone who wants to share the Gospel with their community. Lorna Bradley, who is organising the training day, reports.
We are a Christian Charity whose purpose is to bring together lots of churches in an area to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with thousands of people. We can show people in the community that the church cares, and that ultimately Jesus cares, by asking one question, ‘What hurts you the most?’
So far we have had nearly 40,000 responses to this question. We then look at how the church can respond with the love and hope of Jesus.
On Thursday March 12, from 10am to 3pm, we are organising a Who Cares training day. The costs for this event is £15 (including lunch and refreshments) or £10 concessions.
It will be held at The Lighthouse, 131 Hargham Road, Attleborough NR17 2JP
We’ve discovered Who Cares works not only as a large-scale campaign but also as a regular evangelistic tool in the life of an individual local church. Over the years we have found that it:
Helps you run effective guest -focused Sunday services
Creates evangelistic opportunities across the whole church and particularly in social action projects
Keeps evangelism on the agenda
Stimulates creative evangelistic content
Is a helpful tool in reaching young people.
And best of all we’ve seen lives changed by Jesus.
Let me share with you Barbara’s story:
"After he had brain surgery in 2002, I became my husband’s carer. It was difficult, but we had some good days as well as bad days.
"As his mental health deteriorated and he developed other physical problems, I found my own health was suffering. It ended with me having a spell in hospital, and I my husband had to go into care while I was there.
"I felt very weak and when I came home I worried that I would be unable to look after his needs as well as the house and garden. My heart felt really heavy with despair and I did not know which way to turn.
"A neighbour said that there was going to be a talk on ‘Who Cares?’ at Christ Community Church and she felt I might benefit from this.
"I now know that it was God’s plan to lead me there. I listened to the message that Paige gave us, and afterwards picked up the books Rob had written and took them home to read. Instead of feeling down, I began to experience a lightness in my heart, and I realised that I was not facing these problems alone as I could feel the presence of Jesus with me. I prayed that God would help me with my worries.
"I now feel that my life has a brighter future and it has made me realise that, if you listen and pray, God really cares and he shows it not only in his works but also through the caring and wonderful people around me."
